DAY 8

Another wet & misty start to the day. It’s mostly rough track today, very pretty around Ling Gill Bridge though. We joined the Cam High Road and stopped for lunch at the junction with the Dales Way – where we stopped for lunch last year when we walked the Dales Way. Here we met Jack, a Dutchman who was also walking the Way. As we walked by Dodd Fell it got very warm and sunny, the last few fields were full of beautiful wild flowers. Another café and cup of tea before arriving at Hawes YHA to find a note from the Edlingtons updating us on their walk and wishing us well. After all the rain and mist I think I’ve caught the sun this afternoon!
