DAY 7
What a miserable day. It’s raining
again and very misty. It was all uphill to Malham Cove which was very slippy
because it was so wet. We didn’t see much of it or Malham Tarn because the weather
was so bad. It was also quite cold. We also didn’t see Fountains Fell or
Penyghent. At the trig point – 694m, we had a view of about 5m. On the way down
to Horton, I fell over and ripped the knee of my waterproof trousers, then I
hit my head on a bolt on a gate and burst into tears. It hurt and I felt
miserable. When I got to the café in Horton however, a big piece of cake and a
cup of tea made me feel better. Some gaffer tape also patched up my trousers.
In the pub that night we met four men playing pool. They sponsored me £20.
£1492 now. Mum is also 40 years old today, Ha Ha Ha.
