DAY 2

We set off at about 9.25am in waterproofs after a photo session with the Edlington group – John, Paul, Graham and Terry, and father and son Tom and Mark Stevenson (not THE Tom Stephenson) our companions for the next two days. The weather was a bit miserable but fresh. We reached Soldiers Lump with clean boots at 12 noon to find the ‘Edlingtons Reserved’ sign on it! The next stop was Snoopy’s snack van and a bacon cob and cup of tea. On past a few reservoirs before arriving at Marston about 4.30pm. The Edlingtons have reserved a table at our B&B here too. This was to be a regular thing with them. Money pledged £1432.
