DAY 13
It was very windy during the night
and although it’s sunny it is still windy now. We walked along the Tees up to Cauldrons Snout which we had to climb up the
side of. I thought it was great fun. After a long, hot walk over moorland by
Maize Beck we came to High Cup- a great big open ended hole formed by ancient
glaciers, it was massive and really dramatic. We walked into Dufton in time for
a cup of tea at the village Post Office. That evening in the youth hostel
garden I saw my first ever red squirrel. There were a group of cyclists staying
here too. They sponsored me bringing the total to £1489 now.
